Small combined heat and power plants for building complexes or commercial enterprises are an efficient and economical solution for electricity and heat supply, but only if they run reliably. Continuous monitoring is essential for this. Detect faults early and reduce your downtime!
With comtac, you can achieve this easily and cleverly, and even retrofit with little effort:
- The temperature measurement inputs can be used to measure the flow and return temperatures of the heating circuit and monitor them for limit values. If something goes beyond the limits here, this is a sure sign of a malfunction or sub-optimal operation, and you can react before users get cold feet. In addition, operating and room temperatures can be recorded, as excessive temperatures greatly reduce service life.
- The digital inputs can be used to report fault messages and maintenance requirements for the unit. Operating hours are also recorded so that maintenance work can be planned in good time and as required.
- Since CHP units are often installed in basement rooms, there is a risk of water ingress during heavy rainfall or leaks. In such cases, Cluey can also immediately alert you thanks to a connected water sensor, thus preventing expensive consequential damage.
Thanks to the integrated battery, even a local power failure can be reported.
Cluey can be supplied with LoRaWAN®, mioty or NB-IoT radio technologies. This ensures radio transmission even under difficult conditions (e.g. from buildings or basements).
Continuous monitoring by the Cluey TM reduces the need for costly on-site appointments. It also increases the operational reliability and cost-effectiveness of your combined heat and power plants with little investment.
