| 2020 | comtac becomes a member of the mioty alliance and Smart City Alliance. |
| 2019 | comtac becomes a development and technology partner of Swisscom. |
| 2017 | comtac receives the first certifications for LoRa Modbus Bridge and LoRa Lighting Bridge. |
| 2016 | comtac sets up an LPWAN application with almost 400 LoRa nodes in one network. Bettschen Elektronik AG becomes comtac AG. |
| 2015 | Initial product developments for the LoRa LPWAN are launched. |
| 2014 | The test facility for endurance tests and environmental simulations is set up. |
| 2013 | The developer crew is expanded. |
| 2012 | The company is integrated into the “Amalthea Holding” group. |
| 1988 | Herbert and Jeanette Bettschen found Bettschen Elektronik AG as a one-man engineering firm, located in a 12 m2 home attic with a tiled stove. |
